Principle-Based Professional Development Programme

Redesigned for 2026

Exploring principle-based practice to discover and develop increased depth, ease, confidence, and impact.

What's the Point?

If you are a principle-based practitioner, you are in a very exciting field — a new field, a field unlike others in the helping professions. There is so much potential to be discovered and shared.

This programme is designed to allow passionate, engaged practitioners to explore the endless power of principle-based practice — to meet their challenges, discover more ease, confidence, and impact, and to develop, deepen, and expand their work, their programmes, and their practices.

What's New?

This year the programme takes a wider view of the depth and scope of our professional practice. I have added webinars focused on:

  • Developing programmes. These webinars will focus on the kinds of programmes you want to develop, whether working with individuals, groups, or organisations.
  • Developing your practice. These webinars will focus on the challenges and vision you have for your practice, and developing this based on the power and potential of The Principles.

As well as recorded client sessions and intensives, I am adding:

  • Recorded supervision sessions for you to watch. You will also have the opportunity to volunteer for a recorded supervision session. For those who may not be comfortable with a recorded supervision, participants on the programme can arrange a reduced-priced private supervision with me.
  • Improved recorded client sessions, with both parties visible on screen at the same time.

What's Staying?

The core of this programme remains strong — the ability to learn and evolve within your work, and your potential to discover, deepen, and grow through the work you do. The focus is on developing a deeper feel for your own understanding in the work we do. This is not a training. It is a place to step back, reflect, learn, and discover new clarity and potential for yourself.

The focus is real. It is our work — our client challenges, our vision, our practices, and our programmes.

What is Practitioner Development?

Five years ago I had a very strong inspiration to provide a different kind of learning resource for active Three Principles Practitioners.

It was clear to me that existing practitioners do not necessarily need further training, although they might want to focus on their learning, their practices and their impact.

For me, watching other practitioners work and discussing my clients with them was an extremely rich experience and one that is not widely available to practitioners. I developed The Practitioner Development Programme to provide this kind of learning to a wider group of the worlds existing practitioners. The experiences and outcomes for the practitioners on this programme tend to be impactful to the work they are doing, affecting the way they approach their work in ways that has often surprised them.

I have redesigned the programme, based on the experiences and observations of the first two years. I have retained and built on the impactful elements of the programme and also changed it to make it more accessible internationally without losing any of the engagement and richness. This is a programme I am very proud of based on its results and contribution to our field.

“In the sessions I have seen a whole new level of depth and subtlety that I hadn’t seen before. The confidence with which I’m working has fundamentally changed."
EL Coach
"Since I started this programme I have created a whole new business because I felt the sessions were a safety net that allowed me to go out, mess up and, learn new things and come back here, and have somewhere to explore them."
Nicola Bird Transformative Coach
"One of the things that I find so valuable about being on this programme is that you are with other people who are actually doing this work, not just learning about the principles, but out there in the world doing the work.” ."
